FCA Director Jason
Jason Blevins is excited to serve Diamond Fellowship as the Director of FCA. Jason first accepted Christ at the age of 15 and was baptized that same year. Since then, he’s walked with Christ even in times where the walk was difficult.
Jason grew up hearing The Word from his grandfather, who was an evangelist for more than 60 years. Jason always felt God calling him into ministry. From a failed engagement, to college, to joining the Navy, to a marriage that ended shortly after the birth of his second son, Jason tried to ignore God’s calling on his life. Eventually, Jason finished his degree from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) and a job as a contractor with the US Air Force took him to San Antonio. In 2005, he met his (future) wife, Lauren. They have been married since 2007 and have two children, ages 10 and 12; Jason has two older children from his first marriage, ages 25 and 22.
After decades of running from God’s call, Jason stopped and listened. Over the past six years, Jason and Lauren have led a parenting bible study at their church. Jason has also led a men’s bible study for men in the real estate industry in San Antonio.
In 2020, tragedy struck when Jason’s mom passed away unexpectedly. That loss led to anger, which pulled him away from God. Ultimately, with a lot of support from his family and his church, he found his way back to his faith. Her death was a true “footprints” moment in Jason’s life, but one that has strengthened his relationship with God.
Currently, Jason leads a Men’s Prayer at his church, is involved with the Bulverde Methodist Men’s group and sits on the board of the Bexar Emmaus Community. He has proudly served on teams for men’s and women’s Walk to Emmaus spiritual retreats.
Jason has a deep love for the game of baseball, and subsequently softball. He has coached baseball and softball with Bulverde Little League since 2018. He is excited to combine faith, field and family in service to Diamond Fellowship and Texas 96.
Jason’s favorite Bible verse is:
Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
