About us
Diamond Fellowship was created to help young athletes understand that their identity is not in the sports they play. Their identity is in Christ, our Lord and Savior. We want every player to understand that when you step foot on the field you are glorifying God- win or lose, the glory goes to Him. Sports teaches us so much about life, but oftentimes we get wrapped up in the selfish desires sports can bring to everyone involved.
Here at Diamond Fellowship we want players to know, win or lose, you are a winner because Jesus died for our sins. If a player doesn’t know Christ, we are a witness to those who do not know Him and may one day do.
We want players to know that everyday is a sacrifice we make to glorify God. My favorite quote my mom used to tell me was, “Imagine if God was sitting in the stands watching you, would he be proud of the way you acted today.” She was always talking about my character as a player. Sports are a game built on failure, and it’s how we handle that failure that will make or break us.
As we grow in our community and become closer as a family, we will always remember the foundation that we stand on.
Matthew 7:24-27
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."
