Abby Brand graduated from Smithson Valley in 2023 and played softball all 4 years there. She currently plays for Angelo State University seeking a mathematics major with a secondary certification. She has coached softball for 3 years. She started with Bulverde All-Star teams, Silver Sluggers and now Texas 96.

12u Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez is in her 10th year of coaching high school softball and 9th year coaching select softball. She is in her 4th year at Harlan High School as the Head Softball Coach. She opened Southwest Legacy High School and was assistant coaches at Judson, Southwest and MacArthur High Schools. One of her favorite coaching memories is watching young young athletes grow into amazing people ready to take on the world. 

Alex graduated from St. Mary’s University in 2015 with an Exercise and Sports Science degree. She played all four years at St. Mary’s and received Heartland Conference All Tournament Team in 2014 and All Academic Team. Her favorite memory was playing at the Division II Women’s College World Series at Hall of Fame Stadium. 

Alex graduated from High School in 2011 from Eagle Pass High School and played volleyball and softball. She received many accolades- District New Comer of the Year and Most Outstanding Hitter in volleyball and New Comer of the Year and 2x District MVP in softball.

Assistant Coach-12u Rodriguez

Cadence Beck graduated from Harlan High School in May 2024. She played softball all 4 years and will be attending Northwest Vista in nursing. Some of her favorite memories in high school are high school playoff trips, staying in hotels with the girls, and becoming a family with her softball community.
